A Recuperative Lush Haul

As my autumn supplies were starting to dwindle, I popped into Lush to pick up some new treats for the new year. It's become something of a yearly tradition for me to have a Lush spree in January, along with eating a little better and slowly introducing exercise again, I like to pamper, sooth and preen my skin to get back on track and start the new year a-fresh. January's wintry days are also the ideal time to restore and recharge, a long hot bath is a welcome treat if you're feeling under the weather!

I made the switch to these handy shampoo bars last year to give my tired scalp and tresses a break. You use the bubbles to wash rather than applying the product directly to your scalp, which is gentler on your skin. They're environmentally friendly (no packaging!) and long lasting too - a real find! The Honey I Washed My Hair bar is a heavenly scented, toffee sweet pick, enriched with honey to nourish and uplifting orange and bergamot oils to cleanse and refresh the hair. I really recommend picking up the tin - to keep it dry in-between washes so that it lasts longer, it's great for travelling too!

I just adore this magical, iridescent bubble bar! Unicorn Horn is a gorgeous, ethereal pick that creates clouds of shimmering bubbles and a dreamy watermelon pink bath to melt into - bliss! With relaxing lavender and uplifting neroli to make you feel cheery, it's the perfect pick me up.

A January must-have, this divine blackcurrant and vanilla bath-time treat envelops you in blankets of comforting pink bubbles. The bright yet comforting aroma is uplifting and warming, a mood-boosting treat on cold winter days. You only need to crumble a small chunk under running water for a dreamy bath, a little goes a long way!

I couldn't resist this skin nourishing treat. I'm hoping that this will help to rescue my parched winter skin - with soothing sandalwood oil, moisturising shea butter and deliciously fragrant vanilla it sounds so lovely! I'm actually planning on chopping this in half to make it last little longer, it's ideal for those days when it's just too cold to apply body lotion after a bath!

Lush Christmas Treats

lush christmas 2016
With shimmering snowflake lustre, festive candy sweet and spiced cinnamon scents it's no wonder the Lush Christmas collection is one of the most coveted drops in November. Lush bath's are such a welcome treat on icy wintry days, I save up my pennies for the occasion, having a huge splurge each year to re-stock my stash! Here are my Lush Christmas picks this year...

Ideal for autumn and winter, this luxe pick contains rich cocoa butter to pamper and moisturise parched skin. I just adore this heavenly angel, it's such a pretty pick! Relax and unwind enveloped in the balancing, warming and comforting fragrance as it dissolves into flurries of foam with shimmering golden and silver lustre - bliss!

To be totally honest, I initially picked this up for it's instagram potential! The swirls of pink, mint and purple look fairytale-esque, it's divine! I'm so glad that I snapped this up, the scent is unreal - a soothing, calming but fresh, floral and wintry aroma with jasmine, ylang ylang and vetivert.

I just couldn't resist this skin softening treat, simply slather this dreamy cream over your skin whilst in the shower, rinse and then pat dry and allow the conditioning, nourishing oils to sink in. This pampering treat leaves skin silky soft and the candy sweet scent lingers on for hours -  it's a staple for the colder days!

Swirling this reusable bubble bar through the water transforms it into a gorgeous pink bath with a blanket of soft bubbles. With rippling shimmer and the sweet scent of candyfloss, it's a lovely bath-time treat.

This adorable little star is one of my favourite picks this year. Affordable, simple and understated it transforms the bath into a blue lagoon with snowflake lustre and releases tiny stars as it fizzes and melts away. The scent is gorgeous, earthy, sweet with vanilla and uplifting bergamot, one to lift spirits on gloomy days!

Rose Jam and Snow Fairy Shower Gel
These glorious shower gels are festive staples. With sharp, sweet and floral notes of rose and vanilla and with nourishing argan oil, Rose Jam is a dream! Snow fairy is the perfect in shower treat, pretty, pink and candy sweet, it lingers on the skin and keeps skin soft.

Sleepy
Quite possibly my favourite of the bunch, this twilight scented/malty lavender wintertime cream contains skin softening oats, soothing lavender water and nourishing coco butter. The ideal bedside table accompaniment, it's calming, sinks quickly into the skin and helps you drift off to sleep - I think I'm going to have to invest in the larger pot!

A Lush Heavenly Hand Trio

lush hand cream
As soon as Autumn hits my hands start to suffer, my parched mitts are constantly sore, dry and in desperate need of hydration! Tasks like washing my make up brushes becomes a painful chore (although I've just invested in one of the Real Techniques brush cleaning kits - life changing!) and the bitter outside saps hands of moisture in minutes. This autumn I've discovered the key to super soft skin, a combination of three dreamy products to perfectly pamper hands!

The first step I follow is to scoop out a little of the Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub and massage onto dry hands. Add a little water and then rinse to cleanse, hydrate and gently exfoliate. This heavenly staple contains sea salt, coconut oil, lemon and argan oil and leaves hands so soft, hydrated and completely restored. It's a must-have if you suffer from dry hands!

The next pick in my heavenly line-up is Lush's Dream Cream - a soothing, nourishing lotion for unhappy skin. For a quick fix, this dreamy pick uses a combination of oat milk, rose water and chamomile blue oil to treat sore skin. It's a cold weather saviour that's ideal for any dry patches, not just hands! A worthwhile investment for winter, for sure!

Lastly, the Lush Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter completes my pampering routine. This buttery, multi-purpose balm treats dry and flaky skin with nourishing shea butter, mango butter and coconut oil - It's packed full of wonderful ingredients! A little goes a long way, it leaves my skin supple, silky soft and it smells divine - like lemon meringue pie!

Lush Halloween Treats

lush halloween
Last weekend I popped into Lush to pick up a few pieces from their Halloween collection, I wasn't too drawn to the spooky pieces like boo or the goth fairy, (although I've heard great things about them!). Instead I gravitated towards warm autumn hues, cute pumpkins and pretty leaves. I only picked up a few things from the new range, (I'm saving my pennies for the Christmas collection) but I'm so happy with my purchases, they've already filled my home with an incredible scent - fresh, sweet and spiced fragrances, so festive!

This magical treat creates beautiful pastel yellow, red, orange and green clouds as it slowly fizzes and melts away. The scent is ideal for autumn - reminiscent of fresh, crisp autumn mornings and crunchy falling leaves! With sweet Japanese maple, soothing sandalwood oil and uplifting bergamot and neroli, it's the perfect pick me up!

A repeat purchase for me each year and another uplifting pick for colder, darker days, I simply adore this sparkly little pumpkin! The scent is heavenly, a comforting, bright citrus and cinnamon mix, it lingers on the skin and creates mounds of bubbles!

This is the main pick that's filling my home with the most delicious fragrance - although it's not really the vanilla, cinnamon, pumpkin pie scent that I had hoped for. Instead it's a sharp fruity, citrus, fragrance with just a hint of spice that transforms the bath into an orange lagoon, it's not my favourite of the bunch, but a great pick for Halloween nonetheless!

I just love the heavenly scent of this buttery, sugary toffee pick - it's sweet, salted caramel notes make it smell good enough to eat! With moisturising ingredients like agave and coconut oil, this pampering soap is ideal for the colder days, it's filled my whole bathroom with it's dreamy fragrance and lingers on the skin!

Scented Candles To Burn This Autumn

It's fast coming up to my favourite time of year - crisp autumnal days, icy morning mists, drizzly evenings and pumpkins everywhere. The darker nights are looming in and it's almost mandatory to have a scented candle burning of an evening! Not only do they bring light, warmth and cosiness to the home, Hygge has taught us that candlelight can help to lift the mood and give us that warm, fuzzy feeling that we crave after the bitter cold outdoors.

With my candle collection rapidly growing, it seems that I just can't get enough of these scented treats! I've rounded up my collection to share, I tend to opt for luxe picks - something that will last well and that I can reuse the jars for cotton pads, make up brushes or trinkets!

The White Company Winter Candle: There's a reason for this dreamy candle's cult status, with warming notes of orange, cinnamon and clove it smells divine - like Christmas in a jar! I actually wandered into the White Company set on picking up the new Autumn candle, but the Winter scent is just so me. I'll try and save this for a festive treat - imagine frosty December mornings, baking snowflake sugar cookies with this alight, filling the home with a comforting, christmassy fragrance - dreamy!

Anthropologie Pumpkin Soufflé Soy Candle: How pretty is this white and gold jar?! The scent of this Pumpkin spiced soufflé candle really comes to life when lit, it's okay in the jar, but once burning, fills my whole flat with fragrance in matter of minutes and smells unreal! It's fairly sweet and has hints of roasted pumpkin (reminiscent of Halloween), nutmeg, ginger, vanilla and maple syrup. It's quite possibly my favourite candle ever!

Diptyque Pomander - Another ideal candle for bringing light and warmth to the home this autumn, Pomander is a sophisticated pick fragranced with citrus and spice. Diptyque mini candles are a dream, with 30 hours burn time, high quality vegetable/paraffin wax and the luxe packaging, they're worth the high price point.

Diptyque Baies: This scented beauty is a heavenly mix of delicate rose and fresh blackcurrant leaves. It combines fruit and floral but with a warmth and depth that's well suited for the transition into autumn.

Diptyque Rosaviola: Unfortunately a limited edition pick, but a scent normally brought back for spring each year, this has the gorgeous scent of roses and violets. I normally place one in my bathroom and one on my dressing table, the powdery parmaviolet notes and slight lipstick fragrance make it perfect for pampering!

What are your favourite candles? Any recommendations that I should add to my stash next?

Skin Prep For Autumn

lush exfoliators
Aside from this two day heatwave, the last of the summer days so far have felt more like autumn - gloomy clouds, gales, downpours and a chill in the air that lead me to head straight into Primark last weekend to pick up a cosy scarf! I've started the prep early to give me a head start and early defence against the unpredictable weather. Armed with nourishing creams and exfoliating picks, I'm prepared to tackle the elements and ready my skin for the cold A/W days ahead!

Body Prep
Packed with exfoliating sugar, vanilla and moisturising murumuru butter, Lush Rough With The Smooth is the ideal quick fix for parched skin. It's a gorgeous, scrubby little block that buffs and polishes, leaving skin soft, smooth and pampered.
Once my body is exfoliated and prepped, I slather on a handful of the calming Origins Lavender and Vanilla Body Souffle. This ultra rich, relaxing cream is ideal to pop on before bed, the dreamy, soothing lavender scent lingers on the skin and helps you to drift off to sleep.

Lip Service
Starting again with an exfoliating scrub, the Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub is a staple to keep lips in top condition. With hydrating coconut oil and jojoba oil, and sea salt and caster sugar to exfoliate, this buffs away dry patches for supple, primed lips. Plus, it smells heavenly - buttery and toffee sweet with a hint of sea salt!
The Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm is a total lip saviour. This balmy, citrus and honey scented treat heals, nourishes and plumps dry lips. It contains honey, sweet almond oil, calendula and shea butter to leave lips incredibly soft - it's definitely one of my top A/W must-haves!

Pampered Paws
Lastly, the Lush Salted Coconut Hand Scrub, is my go-to pick for dry, parched hands. Simply scoop out a small amount of this pampering scrub and massage onto hands to cleanse, hydrate and exfoliate. The divine combination of argan oil, sea salt, lemon and coconut oil leaves hands feeling divine - silky soft!

Lush 'Me Time' Picks

lush dream cream review
With the gloomy, rainy weather and a general slump in the air it's the ideal time to take a step back, recharge and take care of yourself. Lush always delivers when it comes to needing a quick pick me up - there are a few products that really help to give you a little boost and a relaxing moment to yourself. I've gathered together and picked up a few new bits to do just that, here are my top, me time pampering picks...

Lush Dream Cream
The lacklustre weather and constant hayfever symptoms have left my skin feeling parched and pretty dry lately. I popped into Lush on the hunt for a quick fix and found Dream Cream, a soothing, nourishing lotion for stressed, unhappy skin. This dreamy, hydrating cream contains oat milk, rose water and chamomile blue oil to treat and heal dry, sensitive skins. There's definitely a reason why this is Lush's number one product, it's already worked wonders on my skin!

Lush Lemony Flutter
One of my favourite ways to pamper, relax and steal a few moments to myself is to flip open a book or magazine and paint my nails with a favourite Essie pick. Once dry, I slather my hands and cuticles with Lush's Lemony Flutter, a buttery multi purpose balm that's packed full of heavenly ingredients like nourishing mango butter, coconut oil and shea butter. It smells incredible - like lemon meringue pie and leaves my cuticles super soft and supple.

Lush Pumice Power
I recently picked up Lush Pumice Power as a treat for my tired feet. I like to fill up my bath with a little water and soak my feet for a while before scrubbing them with this fresh, orange scented bar to buff and polish away any dry skin. Then, I pop on a rich cream and some cotton socks for silky soft, smooth skin.

Lush The Comforter
Lastly, for a comforting, uplifting boost I reach for Lush The Comforter Shower gel or The Comforter Bubble bar - either of these comforting picks are divine! The bright yet comforting cassis fragrance resembles blackcurrant and the hints of vanilla and bergamot are warming, ideal for perking you up if you're feeling a little under the weather. My favourite quick fix when you need to take a little time for yourself, this mood boosting pick lingers on your skin and leaves you feeling cheerful and reassured.

A Pampering Lush Haul

best lush products
lush hand cream
Throughout winter I normally take a lot of time to pamper and care for my skin but it's something I often overlook during the warmer months and my skin tends to suffer for it. This year, I'm determined to up my pampering routine and so I took to Lush to invest in an array of heavenly products to treat and pamper myself this spring/summer.

The first thing I picked up was The Comforter Bubble Bar, I've had my eye on this gorgeous bubble bar for the longest time, it smells heavenly! This comforting and uplifting blackcurrant scented bubble bar is the perfect pampering treat, it creates a dreamy pink bath with soft clouds of bubbles to melt into. Also the bar is huge, smashed into chunks I expect this will last me a while!

After months of trying to use up a huge bottle of shampoo that did nothing good for my hair or scalp, I thought I would give my tired tresses a pamper and give a Lush Shampoo bar a whirl. There's an array of different shampoo bars to choose from for all different hair types, in the end I opted for Jason and the Argan Oil, a Rose Jam scented, shine enhancing, balancing bar. I love the concept behind these handy bars, they're environmentally friendly (no packaging!) long lasting and create a lather of foam and bubbles that you wash with, much more gentle than applying the product directly to your scalp. With argan oil, lemon oil and balancing, restorative rose absolute I have high hopes for this gorgeous shampoo bar, hopefully it will leave me with shiny, soft hair!

I also invested in a round tin to hold and make my bar last even longer, once it's dried you simply pop your bar in the tin to keep it in top condition. Plus, it will hopefully look neat and tidy in my bathroom!

Lastly, the Lemony Flutter Cuticle butter is an incredible all over pampering treat, not only for cuticles, it's ideal for any dry patches, elbows, knees and hands! This dreamy pastel yellow thick buttery cream is full of shea butter, mango butter, coconut oil, beeswax, lanolin, avocado oil - SO many nourishing, moisturising ingredients. It also smells like lemon meringue pie - divine!

Lush Spring Picks

As we slowly transition into spring the days oddly seem to be getting colder and colder. Silver frosted mornings, bitter cold days and icy nights are still very much a thing and so baths are always a welcome treat. I've rounded up a few of my favourite Easter & spring picks from Lush, everything in there is so irresistible at the moment!

This reusable tea bag shaped bubble bar is ideal to lift spirits on stormy rainy days. With sunny orange flower, uplifting neroli and filled with blue cornflower petals that float in the bath, it's such a heavenly treat.

With a sweet toffee scent, glittery gold lustre and likeness to the Harry Potter golden egg I just couldn't resist this heavenly bath treat. The glittery gold layers melt away and infuse the water with a luxe mix of moisturising olive oil, coco butter and uplifting sweet orange and bergamot oil. It's ideal for parched winter skin!

I have a soft spot for anything from Lush with the Rose Jam scent, filled with yellow rose petals, rose absolute and Sicilian lemon oil, this floral treat transforms the bath into a soft, silky pink hue. The divine sweet yet sharp fragrance fills the whole bathroom and the balancing, restoring and uplifting ingredients help you to recharge and unwind.

This adorable Easter egg creates a dreamy light pink bath with clouds of pink fluff. The combination of the sweet snow fairy scent, candy flowers and cute design makes this the ideal pick for Easter!

I also picked up this new blush/pale pink bath mat from H&M home, I can't decide whether I love it or whether it looks a little Granny-esque!

A RESTORATIVE LUSH HAUL

This January, instead of harsh detoxes, huge dietary changes and overworking myself with exercise routines that I probably won't stick to, I've decided to take things a little slowly. January is still a cold, bitter Winter month and comforting healthy meals, hot baths and soothing yoga routines are still very much required. As part of my restful, recharging January plan I've picked up a few Lush treats to get myself back on track and to get off to a good start to the year.

My skin has been in desperate need of a pamper after Christmas and so the first thing I picked up was The Sacred Truth Face Mask to help to perk up my complexion. This heavenly fresh mask contains nutritional wheatgrass, moisturising honey and exfoliating papaya enzymes to leave skin soft and glowy.
This luxe skincare treat is packed full of fresh ingredients and so lasts in the fridge for around three weeks, the recommended twice weekly treatments ensures that the mask is used up in this time. I've used it once already and the results are pretty impressive, I'm positive that it will help get my skin back on track this month!

I just couldn't leave lush without a Unicorn Horn, this multicoloured iridescent bubble bar is such a magical treat. It creates a dreamy watermelon pink bath with clouds of sparkly bubbles whilst the combination of relaxing lavender paired with mood-boosting neroli soothes and lifts spirits - perfect for these gloomy January days!

I picked up this scrubby little block after reading so many rave reviews online. Packed with exfoliating sugar and moisturising murumuru butter, it's the ideal quick fix for dry winter skin. This heavenly scented scrub has been a saviour for my parched skin so far, leaving it soft, pampered and smooth.

With a heavenly mix of peach and apricots, this in shower treat is like sunshine in a bottle. This is a fairly thick shower gel that creates a luxe, rich creamy lather to leave skin silky soft. The golden flecks of glitter and sunny disposition of this cute little product makes for the perfect morning pick me up.
